During my time with your placenta, it is treated with gentle care and respect. I like to light candles and burn a little sage to honor this gift shared by mother and baby.

Within 2 days post childbirth I arrive at your home with all the necessary equipment to prepare the baby's placenta. If you prefer I do this outside of your home, I will transport the placenta in an insulated food safe container back to my home and encapsulate it there. There will be an up charge for this option. I only schedule one placenta session at a time to ensure there will never be a chance of mix up. That is why it is important to schedule as soon as possible with your due date and keep me posted as time nears.

Following Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) techniques and using food grade safety training experience, I will begin the process in your home as soon after birth as possible. You or your family do not have to watch or be involved, but someone does need to be at the home the entire time that I am there. I will only need a clean counter space, clean sink and clean stove. It will take two visits over a period of two days to complete the process and when I am finished after the second day, your capsules will be available for you to begin taking. Each visit will take up to two hours. Ideally, I'd like to come in the evening, leave the placenta to dehydrate over night, and return in the morning to finish.

The service fee is $250 for anyone within a 40 minute drive from Kansas city, Missouri. Additional travel fees may apply for distances further away. Please call or email with your location if you live further and would like a quote.

Payment options are cash or money order. I do not accept checks or credit cards at this time.

The up-charge for processing the placenta in my home is $100. That would make the final cost $350. If you live outside of the specified area, there will be additional fees for travel.

A non-refundable deposit of $100 will need to be paid to reserve your spot on my calendar. At this point we will discuss how to receive, transport and care for your placenta after birth and I will mail out some forms for you. The balance owed can be paid by payments or upon my arrival the second day of the process. There are no refunds for this process once the capsules are in your possession. This is a service. I am only charging for my time, travel and the use of my equipment. Whether or not you choose to take, or continue to take, your capsules, and for whatever reason, has nothing to do with the time I've already spent. Thank you for understanding this upfront.
